Since the first photographic image was captured in
1826, photographers have persistently pushed the
boundaries of their art form to the very limits of
technology. Advancements in the photographic
process were slow and sometimes fortuitous, but
when the computer became a tool for the
photographer, the digital revolution began. The
impact of digital imaging has led many to wonder
whether the mystique and aura of the darkroom will
soon be relegated to the pages of photographic
history. “Light in the Darkroom” uses dynamic
imagery combined with humorous enlightenment to
take the viewer on a surreal journey through the
past, present and future of photography.
